Licensed Addictions Counselor (LAC)

The Licensed Addiction Counselor (LAC) will work in a Community Health Center providing outpatient primary care and behavioral health services.

Summary: This role focuses on integrating Substance Use Services into the primary care setting. The LAC will assist in developing and implementing these services, offer care coordination, and deliver supportive and direct treatment to patients.

Responsibilities include:

  • Collaborating with medical providers to identify and refer patients for behavioral health services.
  • Conducting Substance Use Assessments.
  • Developing treatment plans and coordinating care with other providers.
  • Serving as a resource and providing consultation on Substance Use issues.
  • Managing care for patients on Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT) or mandated treatment.
  • Providing individual, group, and family treatment following evidence-based practices.
  • Maintaining accurate clinical documentation and reports.
  • Participating in meetings and training sessions.

Qualifications: Licensed as an Addiction Counselor (LAC) in Montana with at least 2 years’ clinical assessment and treatment experience preferred. Must be able to work in Hamilton, MT, and willing to relocate if necessary.
