The RN – Assistant Nurse Manager supports operational supervision of designated nursing departments with 24-hour accountability.
Assists with staff hiring, retention, and implementing leadership strategies. Ensures practice aligns with standards, policies, and regulatory requirements. Participates in budgeting, resource management, and performance improvement initiatives. Provides leadership, guidance, and critical thinking in patient care delivery. Collaborates with educators and promotes evidence-based practices. Maintains current knowledge of nursing standards and ensures quality care. Qualifications include an associate degree (bachelor’s preferred), RN licensure, BLS, and possibly additional certifications. Requires clinical and supervisory experience, with a flexible schedule including evenings and rotating weekends. The role involves fostering a culture of safety, quality, and team collaboration in a hospital setting.
