This position involves diagnosing and treating emotional and psychiatric disorders across a diverse patient population, including those with chronic mental illness, dual diagnosis, and substance abuse, to promote independence.
Requires a MD, completed residency in adult psychiatry, with licensure, and experience with serious mental illness and buprenorphine prescribing preferred.

Responsibilities include conducting assessments, ordering tests, prescribing medications, providing psychoeducation, therapy, documentation, emergency evaluations, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team.
Must maintain current licenses and participate in treatment planning, court proceedings, and research activities. Availability for emergency calls and in-person work in Raleigh, NC, is required.
Work environment is moderate noise, with reasonable accommodations available for disabilities. Contract role, 25-30 hours/week, $200-$245/hour, Monday to Friday day shifts.
