Role Overview:
The position involves providing nursing care to pediatric patients in PICU, NICU, Mother/Baby, and SCN units at two hospitals. The role requires flexibility to float between departments, with full-time hours of 36 per week, including day shifts and rotating weekends and holidays.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver compassionate, high-quality patient care across pediatric units
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure optimal outcomes
- Maintain compliance with safety and clinical standards
- Adapt to various pediatric care settings as needed
Qualifications & Skills:
- One to two years of PICU and NICU experience
- Associate Degree in Nursing; Bachelor’s Degree preferred within five years if highest degree is an associate
- Current Illinois RN licensure
- Current BLS certification; PALS and NRP certifications within six months of employment
Key Duties:
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care
- Ensure safety and comfort of pediatric patients
