Role: Mammography Technologist responsible for performing specialized breast imaging procedures to assist in diagnosis and treatment.
Key Duties:
- Conduct quality screening, diagnostic, and advanced mammography exams, including stereotactic and MRI biopsies.
- Review exam requisitions and ensure accurate patient positioning, protocol selection, and equipment use.
- Evaluate images for diagnostic quality and obtain additional images as necessary.
- Maintain accurate records, reports, and ensure regulatory compliance.
- Provide excellent patient support and service.
- Mentor junior staff and act as a preceptor; coordinate in the absence of lead technologists.
- Ensure departmental adherence to all regulatory standards and participate in accreditation processes.
- Perform radiological procedures on patients of all ages and maintain proficiency in interventional breast imaging.
Qualifications:
- Graduate of an AMA-approved Radiologic Technology program or JRCERT-accredited training.
- Minimum of 2 years experience as a Mammography Technologist.
- Licenses and certifications: ARRT or ARDMS in Radiography and Mammography, BLS certification.
