Role Overview: The Surgical Technician supports the surgical team by preparing and maintaining sterile fields, passing instruments, and ensuring equipment functionality. They assist with routine patient care activities under supervision.
Qualifications & Skills:
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Completion of an accredited Surgical Technician training program
- 2-3 years of experience in a main operating room
- Certified Surgical Technician (NBSTSA) required
- Current BLS Healthcare Provider Certification from the American Heart Association
- Strong knowledge and skills in scrubbing for various service lines including robotics, vascular, neuro/spine, orthopedics, and plastic cases
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Flexibility, multitasking ability, and capacity to work independently
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist during surgeries by preparing sterile fields and passing instruments
- Ensure availability and proper functioning of surgical equipment
- Support routine patient care activities
- Work on day shifts, part-time basis, with on-call and holiday rotation
