Role Overview: Performs magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) procedures, ensuring adherence to organizational standards and policies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Reviews patient history and physician orders; educates patients about procedures for cooperation.
- Prepares and administers contrast media or medications within scope; monitors patient condition.
- Sets up equipment, selects imaging parameters, maintains safety standards, and performs quality control.
- Positions patients, conducts imaging procedures, analyzes results, and addresses image quality issues.
- Operates independently in a fast-paced environment requiring critical thinking and decisive judgment.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technologist program.
- Registered as a Radiologic Technologist (RT) and in MRI, or registry-eligible with timely certification.
- Current BLS certification through the American Heart Association or Red Cross.
