Role: The Registered Nurse (RN) manages nursing care activities in the cath lab and interventional radiology, ensuring high-quality patient care.
Responsibilities: Conducts comprehensive assessments, develops and implements individualized care plans, and documents interventions. Coordinates communication among healthcare team, provides patient education, and monitors patient responses to treatments. Ensures safety protocols and infection control standards are followed. Demonstrates professionalism through ongoing learning, resource sharing, and leadership. Delivers service excellence by maintaining respectful communication, addressing patient needs promptly, and promoting cost-effective practices. Engages in quality improvement initiatives, provides age-appropriate and specialized care, and recognizes high-risk patient needs, including restraint and pain management. Assists in emergencies and reports abuse or neglect symptoms.
Qualifications & Skills: Requires graduation from an accredited nursing program, with at least one year of medical-surgical experience; critical care or PACU experience preferred. Must hold valid RN licensure and certifications like BLS and ALS. Physical ability to lift heavy weights and perform extensive movement is necessary. Strong assessment, communication, teamwork, and adherence to safety standards are essential.
