Seeking an experienced hand surgeon for a part-time, independent contractor role at a major healthcare provider. This position involves treating patients on-site for approximately 4 hours weekly or biweekly, complementing your current practice with flexible scheduling.
Responsibilities include managing complex medical cases, facilitating return to work, and collaborating with medical and therapy teams to provide both surgical and non-surgical orthopedic care. Active communication with employers and case management are key components.
Qualifications include licensure in your state, MD or DO from an accredited institution, unrestricted DEA license, and Board Certification or Eligibility in Hand Surgery. Prior experience with work-related injuries and medical malpractice insurance are required. Compensation is based on a revenue share model.
